What’s the biggest mistake you’ve made negotiating?
What did you lose?
What did you learn?
We’ve all lost a negotiation at one point or another.
That’s because negotiating isn’t natural for most of us.
It requires several complex skills — listening actively, asking good questions, and knowing when to walk away.1
Those skills can take time and experience for any of us to develop.
Thankfully, life gives us plenty of chances to practice and figure it out.
The sooner we embrace those opportunities and get better at negotiating, the better off we’ll be.
And that’s just one life-changing money lesson that you won’t learn in school.
In negotiations and finance, some of the most important lessons we learn come from the school of hard knocks.
No matter what you know right now, your approach and a willingness to learn can make a big difference in your financial future.
P.S. What was the last deal you successfully negotiated? How did you get it to work out in your favor? Hit “reply” and share your experience. I’d love to hear how you’ve negotiated a great deal for yourself and what worked for you.
